Netflix Recommendations* for January for Mum, Dad and Kids

I have discovered the joy of Netflix due to the fact I have joined the #netflixstreamteam. My sky planner is approaching max due to the fact I am watching so much on Netflix so decided I would bring some recommendations your way that you possibly might enjoy for Mum, Dad and little ones.
For Mum: "The Good Wife"

This legal drama series focuses on Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies "ER"), whose husband Peter Florrick (Chris Noth "Sex and the City"), a former Cook County state's attorney, has been jailed following a very public sex and corruption scandal. Alicia returns to her old job as a litigator (having taken 13 years out to be a stay-at-home mother) to provide for her two children. This show is set apart from other legal dramas by a number of factors. The series features a strong cast of characters and in turn strong actors playing them, not to mention the clever writing and ability of an episode to go from high drama to light hearted humour in th…

Babytalk Festival 22-23 February 2014 UCD with Giveaway*

The Babytalk Festival which is taking place in the O'Reilly Hall, UCD, Dublin between the 22-23 of February is a whole new pregnancy, baby and family festival with a difference. It will offer talks from experts, demonstrations, entertainment and a whole lot more.

The Story of Babytalk:
The festival is brought to you by Rachel and Marie from Curious Casa who create graphic designs and share their out of office projects and adventures.
Rachel has one little girl and is expecting her second baby in April, and Marie is planning to start her own family. They wanted to go to a festival just like this but couldn't find one, so what better way to fix that than by creating their own festival.

The Festival:
The festival will be host to over 50 exhibitors and will have demonstrations, storytelling, baby yoga, song and dance session for toddlers, music, face painting, and some goody bag along the way. It sounds like a brilliant day out for the whole family and something I would have loved …

2013 Favourites: Amazing Year for Amazing Products

I wasn't planning on doing one of these posts but after enjoying reading so many of them over the last week or two I just had to join in with my lot.

1. Cocoa Brown 1hr Tan
This was the one that blew me away totally this year! Before I got this I hadn't used a fake tan in about 5-7 years as I could never do them and the smell and colours were always awful. This beauty breaks all the rules when it comes to fake tans and does it right! Smells great, looks great, no fuss and leaves my skin glowing. I am a bridesmaid in February and this is what I will be using to get my glow on. I reviewed this in full and you can read all about it here.

2. URBAN DECAY Glinda Palette
This has been my holy grail of palettes this year and always end up going back to it. I got a new makeup bag at Christmas and it fits in perfectly so I will never be without it. It was a limited edition but if you manage to get your hands on one I did a full review here for you. It retailed at €40.00 and you get a tra…

Review: Cleanse Off Mitt

Guest Post
I was delighted to be sent a Cleanse Off Mitt to try out, as a qualified Beauty Therapist, I have always hated make up wipes so this is a very much needed and welcome product to the skincare market.

While I personally have never used make up wipes, I met many clients when I worked as a beauty therapist who used them all the time to remove their make up, an idea which filled me with horror!! As many people are aware, the most important part of a skincare routine is cleansing, what is the point in toning and moisturizing skin when it still has traces of make up on it? Clean skin is vital if you want to keep your pores from becoming clogged and your follow on products, toner/serum/moisturiser/eye cream to work for you.

I double-cleanse my skin every night using a pre-cleanser followed by a cream cleanser and warm flannel so I was interested to see how the Cleanse Off Mitt would do in removing my make up. I have used it a few times now and I am impressed.   It removed all of my mak…
