Review: Showers with Roger & Gallet

When it comes to Showers by Roger & Gallet (€9.90), think invigorating, cleansing, and hydrating. This is a lovely range of shower gels and creams, and I've gotten to try out the Gingembre Rouge energising gel. Thankfully, it's a hit in our shower!

I haven't tried anything from Roger & Gallet in years and I was a huge fan, so this was great to try out and start to get to know the brand again. I was excited about the fragrance of ginger in this, but it's not overpowering and is very subtle with the mandarin and pomegranate added in. It's a very delicate scent but uplifting at the same time. The shower gel is suitable for drier skin (like my own) and the gel lathers up really well to create a great foam.

The shower gel also has glycerin, coco betaine (derived from coconut oil), and aloe vera to help soften and moisturise the skin without the use of sulphates, parabens, colourants and soap. These colourful shower gels also have a flexible tube wich makes life…

BRYT Skincare - Botanical Beauty

BRYT Skincare has arrived in Ireland this Autumn, and I've had the opportunity to test out two of their products (which their PR company sent me) the last five weeks. I have been very much drawn towards the brand since I first spotted them across the pond in the UK over a year ago and delighted now to finally see it available here. Aimed at BRYT Young Things (16-25) but also aimed at all skin types and ages. You can't help but notice the bright, and fun packaging.

The BRYT philosophy is built on a holistic approach and merging it together with a healthy regime of eating, sleeping, exercising sensibly, and drinking plenty of water - all of which are mantras on the packaging as you open them up. As the creator of BRYT Skincare Catkin Wemyss-Bodmer said: "Skin needs to be fed and hydrated, just like our bodies". All of the products are free from sulphates, and chemical nasties. They do not test on animals or do business where animal testing is allowed. So, let's ge…

Have a Crackin' Christmas with these Beauty Crackers for 2016

I've recently talked about the Beauty Advent Calendars and how they've become very popular over the last few years, but let's be honest they can be too much for our wallets to take. So if you are still looking for a more affordable Christmas treat, I think Christmas Beauty Crackers are a great idea for yourself, a friend or colleague. Mum and I have gotten a set of beauty crackers the last two years and I think now it's becoming a bit of a tradition for us which I love. I've gone on the hunt and these are just some of which really caught my eye. As with the beauty calendar post, I will update if anymore catch my eye so don't forget to drop back and check in.
this works Sleep Spell Xmas €13 (Pillow Spray 10ml)
I've recently talked about this works pillow spray on my social channels and it's something I use regularly to help me towards a more calming night sleep. You get a mini travel size version in this cracker, which I have no doubt will help towards a…

Etude House: Missing U! Hand Cream Fairy Penguin

If you love all things cute and adorable (especially when it comes to makeup and skincare) then you may have already come across the South Korean brand Etude House. I managed to pick one of their Missing U Hand Creams called Fairy Penguin. Etude House was initially established in 1985 and still going strong. They based their name on Frederic Chopin's studies of the piano, with √Čtude meaning Study in French. √Čtudes are technically composed pieces to the help perfect your musical skill or for example, some pieces are written to help strengthen the fingers in the right hand. Maybe Etude House is trying to bring the study of skin care and makeup into their products which in turn give us affordable yet fantastic items. I'm waffling now as I think back to my days of playing the piano. So on with the review....

You can't help but stop when you see these kawaii products starting to pop up on our social media feeds, and these hand creams are super adorable and cute. You get 30ml o…

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

The countdown begins for our visit back to the fictional town of Stars Hollow! We'll get to see our favourite characters all over again who will no doubt entertain us once more with their usual fast paced hilarious dialogue and plenty of pop culture references. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life hits Netflix on the 25th of November with four 90 minute episodes based on the four seasons starting with Winter.

The show picks up nine years on from when we last saw Lorelai and Rory and it's going to be really interesting to see how their lives have turned out or what problems they now face. I loved the series the first time around and I rewatched all the episodes on Netflix over the summer so I'm really looking forward to this!

What was your favourite Gilmore Girls moment from the series so far? Let me know in the comments below.

*Disclaimer: I'm a member of the Netflix Stream Team and for this, I received a complimentary subscription for one year & an Apple TV (Box).  A…

Instagram: Week 3 in Pictures

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend whatever you may have gotten up to. We had a quiet enough weekend, especially as I'm still on an antibiotic so that's making me feel off still. I had more pictures up this week on Instagram so it's that time of the week when I give you the run down, I hope you enjoy.

Ahh my most used and loved shadows are these gorgeous Wet n Wild trios. They are perfectly put together so if I'm ever going anywhere they are perfect for a very small makeup bag or just to pop into my handbag. The pigmentation is brilliant for the very small and affordable pricing and they last! I'm a self-confessed palette addict but sometimes it's easier and quicker to delve into the trios rather than spend time working out what shades work best in an 18 pan palette.

I think this would have to be my favourite picture from the week. I love the vintage vibe from my Charlotte Bronte notebook along with my Sass & Belle heart trinket box. I wanted to share …

Beauty Advent Calendars 2016

Oh I know, it's not even Halloween and here I am talking about beauty advent calendars for 2016! Now is the time to check these out though as some are available right now, and others are due to go on sale any day and tend to sell out fast so get those fingers ready at the laptops. I thought I'd pick out a few that caught my eye. The beauty advent calendars are getting more and more popular each year for the beauty enthusiast and come in all shapes, sizes and prices. So here are a few I've come across that might be of interest if the traditional chocolate filled calendar isn't enough this year! Also, I will be updating this as I come across new calendars so make sure to come back and check this post out.

Kiehl's X Jeremyville Limited Edition Advent Calendar €115

I love the retro look of the Kiehl's advent calendar. It has been designed by Brooklyn-based artist, who's work is thought provoking and easily recognisable. The Kiehl's advent calendar has some …
