YOUNGBLOOD’S LIQUID MINERAL FOUNDATION DEEP SEA HYDRATING COMPLEX:(€37 RRP)
I've never tried anything from Youngblood but I was very interested seeing hydrating in the title of this Foundation. With my dry skin this could be really a good foundation and is suitable for all skin tones and is cruelty-free, talc-free and vegan. The limi…

Bog Standard Linen Candle

Image
So a couple of weeks ago myself and mum took a little venture into Meadows and Byrne and we came across Bog Standard. Out of the array of candles available, it was Bog Standard for some reason that really stood out. More than likely, it was the fresh, cute packaging

I'm a big fan of candles but I do find it hard to find fragrances that aren't overpowering or cause an allergy breakout. I chose the large candle in "Linen" for it's relaxing Lavender and Eucalyptus. I had a cold at the time and my asthma was playing up and the Eucalyptus really helped. I don't put candles in my room, but I brought this in to have by my bed (unlit) to get the soft scent and it worked a treat.

The candle burned evenly and none of the wax went to waste with it all burning. I had this burning everyday and I definitely got the 40 hours, if not more, out of it. The glass was such great quality that I ended up giving it a wash and upcycling it to a eyeliner holder! The candles are in…

Powder 'n' Pout HD Buffer P230

Image
A new year, a new brush for the collection thanks to Powder 'n' Pout. This was a welcome little addition and was sent to me to try out, so over the last month I've been putting thisHD buffer to the test.

The brush can be used on foundations, creams, and primers. It's a great little brush for stippling and buffing in your product. With a short handle I thought it might have been heavy handed using it but because the brush hairs are long and soft I don't get heavy with application. The brush flares out when buffing for ease and quick application which I love.

The products I use don't go deep into the brush but sit on the top just where I want it, so my product isn't going to waste deep inside the brush. The different hair lengths and soft duo fibre technology make  the difference here. It's very different to my other buffers as they are more densely compacted, but I'm preferring this lately as it doesn't aggravate the dry patches on my forehead …

Beauty Favourites of 2015

Image
Welcome to the first post of 2016 on the blog! 2015 was a great year for discovering some new and wonderful beauty products, so I thought it would be great to share the winners with you! I managed to get it down to my top 8 which is a miracle in itself.

The Wet n' Wild Coverall Foundation is my favourite of all the budget foundations I have tried. Coming in at under €5, this makes it a bargain in my eyes. The best bit? They have come out with a brand new lighter shade which suits my super pale skin perfectly. I have previously reviewed this before in the slightly darker shade which you can read here.

I've always struggled to find a suitable concealer for my under eyes, I've tried so many and they have always failed. Then I came across the NYX HD concealer (€7.49) and it's love. I go between shade 002 for a bright under eye look to make me look awake after a bad night sleep, and 003 for covering spots and also for covering the dark circles under my eyes. It doesn't…
