Autumn Makeup Favourites
The months are flying but I'm excited for my favourite time of year, of cosy fires, dark evenings, hot chocolate, Halloween and the countdown to dare I say Christmas! So with that brings a change in my makeup bag but three things really stand out one of which is an oldie but a goodie and the other two are new for me this season but fit right in.
Okay, this is the most expensive makeup I own, and the day I bought this I was with the beautiful Claire from Claire by Reverie, she had to get me through the shock after spending €65 on this. Every ten minutes I'd blurt out "Oh my god what have I done" it's funny now looking back at my reaction especially as a makeup addict but this was shooting for the stars! I watched as Claire got her makeup done at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in Brown Thomas and when they used the Filmstar Bronze & Glow on her I thought it truly was beautiful.
The bronzer looks sparkly in the palette but doesn't come out that way once applied it has a stunning glowy sheen and the tone is perfect against my pale skin. The highlight has a golden base and catches the light in all the right places. The powders blend beautifully and it's a joy to use. I think now I'm finally over the shock of the big spend on this, because it was worth it, also just look at that amazing packaging!
The Ciaté Can Can is an old favourite of mine and you can find pictures of the shade in action here in a NOTD post. I'm running on the low side now so I'm going to have to hunt down another bottle of this shade, even though this lasted well for a mini bottle. The burgundy shimmer will always win me over as my go to shade for this season.
It wouldn't feel right not to add my favourite go to lipstick which will fit right in for Autumn. This is the *Shiseido Perfect Rouge RD 555 Spellbound. It has become a staple red for me over the last few months since it was sent out to me to try. I love the lasting power, the pigmentation, and the shade. The formula is great and makes my lips look fuller and the red is deeper for the darker months. I reviewed this back in May so if you want to see swatches head on over here.
