Nia Natural Beauty Intensive Scrub Bar - Body Exfoliator Review

I love a product that does more than what it says, and the Nia Intensive Scrub bar is no exception. It's quick and easy to use and comes in a solid form but packed with all the ingredients you need for a smooth moisturised skin. Coming in a €12.95 I think is very reasonable for this product and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this myself once this one I was sent has run out. This isn't my first time to use products from Nia, I've purchased the Calendula and Orange Blossom Cleansing Balm Facial Cleansing Balm and the Oat and Avocado Facial Exfoliator both I really love.

My skin has really suffered over the last few months between rashes, bites and eczema, but I need not worry using the body exfoliator. The poppy seeds weren't harsh against my skin and really did gently exfoliate for a smooth finish. The coconut oil created a soft fluffy lather which surprised me no end as it's so solid you kind of wonder to yourself how you will get it to lather, but I need not …

Throwback Thursday: Halloween 1984, with "Stranger Things 2" from Netflix.

It's almost time to return to the world of "Stranger Things" on Netflix, with the second season coming tomorrow, October 27th!! Let's not pretend like we haven't watched each trailer a dozen times, and skip the need to preview this season. We know what's up, right?

So I've decided to take a trip through time to see what would have been big in popular culture on Halloween of 1984, when "Stranger Things 2" is set.
Sitting pretty on top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the States for the third straight week was the Stevie Wonder classic "I Just Called to Say I Love You".

Meanwhile, here in Ireland, Wham! were on their own three-week run of topping the chart with their hit single "Freedom".

The number one movie in the United States on Halloween weekend in 1984 was the film that really launched the careers of Arnold Schwartzenegger and director James Cameron, "The Terminator". This film is as much a horror as it…

Sigma: Bloody-Good Power Stick Lipstick Review

PR Sample
Hi, I'm back, and yes I know it has been awhile. I took a big break there which was truly needed for a few months, but now I'm itching to get back to writing and reviewing. I didn't give up on makeup during my time off and came across some gems along the way. I was sent some Sigma products and I have to say I'm impressed. It's a brand that went under my radar for awhile but now that I've had the opportunity to discover their products I will be bringing you my thoughts over the coming weeks.
Autumn is here and that usually means I have red lipstick out and ready to be worn. The Sigma Power Stick in the shade Bloody-Good was completely new to me and one that I have been enjoying.

The formula is creamy and glides straight on without catching or sinking into lines. You won't find any parabens, sulphates, phthalates, mineral oil, casein in the formula either. I believe there are six shades to choose from, with a mix of vivid and neutral colours. Thepig…

Dublin Herbalists 5 Step Facial Collection at the Kilkenny Shop

A few weeks ago I came across the "Wellness" section of Kilkenny Shop and thought it was a fantastic idea. They have everything from candles, skincare, books, from wonderful Irish brands. I was sent this lovely Dublin Herbalist set from Kilkenny Shop to celebrate! The Kilkenny shop has really brought together a great selection to the Wellness department with a range of natural skincare, and beauty products to which help towards feeding and nourishing the skin and help towards your well-being.

The Dublin Herbalists is one of the Irish brands found in the Wellness department, and I can see why. With carefully sourced ingredients and use of natural oils, your skin is being fed only the best. I found using the 5 steps a very relaxing experience and one that I really spent time in enjoying.

The set contains an Every Day Cleansing gel, that unblocks pores, removes dirt, and makeup. It contains jojoba oil which is a natural moisturising property.

Summer Holiday Essentials

If you follow my social media accounts you will know from my over sharing of holiday photos that mum and I went to Agios Nikolaos in Crete! We had the best time ever on our first holiday abroad! The packing was great craic, with my mum losing the will to live with my packing skills, she just left me to it in the end including packing her case. I really didn't want to bring too much, I just wanted the bare necessities as I don't wear that much makeup when I'm melting in the sun, my skin just does not like it. Now, I did bring some makeup with me and if you want to see a post on the makeup I brought (other than what's in the post here), just let me know. In this post, I'll be talking about the essentials I'd never leave behind, these are the products that come with me or are part of any trip I make now.

*1. Uriage Eau Thermale Rich Water Cream was popped into the fridge on arrival to our destination along with their Thermale water just to amp up the refreshing f…

Netflix - Stranger Things 2

*Disclaimer: I'm a member of the Netflix Stream Team and for this, I receive a complimentary subscription.  All opinions are my own, and I will be posting once a month in relation to Netflix Stream Team.
The show that captured the imagination of so many last year is coming back!!! I'm really looking forward to Stranger Things 2 coming 27th of October and just in time for Halloween. We are heading back to Hawkins, Indiana to see a bigger yet even more sinister entity that is coming after to those who survived. Now I'm left with so many questions as to what awaits us and will the past catch up?! The fist season had so many easter eggs to some of our favourite 80's films and I really hope that will be the case the second time around and have that true retro feel to it.

We know from season one that MK Ultra the covert operation conducted by the CIA came to Hawkins in 1953, could they possibly be still be doing their experiments, or has their past experiments come back to …

Picturesques Kilmore Quay

I love Kilmore Quay, and it's our go-to place on the occasional Sunday. Kilmore Quay is a wonderful fishing Village just under 30 minutes outside of Wexford Town. I especially look forward to the Seafood Festival which takes place the first Thursday of July every year for 4 days!
Our first stop is always into Little Saltee Restaurant, and the food is always fantastic, it is situated just across from the marina. It really has that updated coastal interior feel to it, which brings the beach and brightness to its restaurant. Don't leave without trying their scrumptious array of ice creams!
There is a wonderful walk along the coast and hidden nooks to find along the way. A playground is just up from the Marina, and it's one of Lillibug's favourites plus it's free and well kept.

We went on an adventure today along #TheNormanWay. Ballyhealy Castle was Lillibug's favourite little gem, that we came across along the beautiful country drive of #wexford. The castle was po…

MAC Haul & Review of Extra Dimension Blush Cheeky Bits

If you read my previous post about my trip to the Crowne Plaza in Blanchardstown, you will know that I couldn't bypass the shopping centre while there. I needed to replenish my MAC Studio Fix Fluid and one thing led to another!

I picked up my holy grail of foundations the Studio Fix fluid (€32) in NW13. This seems to be a love/hate foundation when I talk to others about it, but thankfully it performs really well for me still. I also love the fact that the shade is perfection for me, which I struggle with when it comes to other brands.

I picked up my first MAC lip pencil (€17.50) in the shade Dervish to go with my new favourite MAC lipstick Plumful! It's really creamy and lasts all day on me, I need to build this up with a few strokes but I'm loving it and it will go with a lot of lipsticks that I already have.

MAC Fix+ travel size (€10) is another repurchase and love the many uses this comes in handy for. From intensifying eyeshadow, giving a dewy complexion, or just to fi…

Birthday Getaway to the Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown

I wasn't planning on doing a review of the Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown at all, but mum and I were so happy with our choice of hotel I thought I'd let you all know. Excuse the lack of photos and bad lighting but I hope you get a feel for the hotel all the same.

April is the month for Birthdays in our family, mum at the beginning of the month and mine the end, so we needed a little weekend away especially when we realised the last time we were away just the two of us was seven years ago! That is shocking and as a result, we have promised ourselves to go away more together. We picked the Crowne Plaza because Mum had stayed there before with Dad for a conference and of course it was close to the amazing shopping centre. Also importantly I found it easy to get to off the M50 coming from Wexford.

The stand out about the hotel was the staff and the customer service they bring. Check-in was quick and help was offered with our luggage. Two huge beds in a bigger than expected room gree…

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear

Press Sample
In celebration of 20 years of Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr now has become Teint Idole Ultra Wear (RRP€41.00)and now comes in a brand-new bottle. The high coverage foundation comes in 40 shades to choose from, but I do warn that this is a foundation you will need to sample and not blindly buy due to the oxidation that I experienced with it. For 2017 I'm on the hunt for perfect foundations so I was delighted to receive this from the PR to sample.

For a full coverage foundation, I was delighted that this wasn't as creamy as I was expecting, but I did find that it still felt heavy on the skin but it didn't look cakey on the same hand. My skin has been okay of late but it is usually on the dry side and this did catch around the dryness on my forehead, brought out the pores on my nose and didn't sit as nicely on (cough) my laughter lines.
For best application and after a lot of experimenting with this, I found using a hydrating primer underneath the best and a…

My Little Box - #NoFilter March Box

It has been a long time since I've spoken about My Little Box, a subscription box that comes from the heart of Paris. It has always been one of my favourite subscription boxes, I think because it has more than beauty, and incorporates lifestyle accessories too. Last year I stopped my subscription as it was getting to be a bit of an expensive box each month, especially as here in Ireland we have to use ParcelMotel to get it. For Mother's Day, Lillibug and Kevin treated me to a box (I must have dropped a lot of hints), they are the best!

For March, My Little Box's theme was "#NOFILTER". Instead of the usual box, and drawstring bag, everything came in a gorgeous wash bag emblazoned with the slogan "#No Filter". I will definitely get great use out of the bag and it is a great size for all my makeup. Also included was a notebook for all my beauty notes, and printed card (which I love to stick up on my wall).

A lovely soft kabuki brush was included, with ro…
